RG-45 for sure. Don't waste your time with electric rod for O/A. Been there done that.
Get rid of the electric stuff and weld on bungs for sight gauges. I have never seen a Cub with electric fuel gauges. Not that it cannot be done but the sight gauges have worked for decades.
Sorry to hear about unexpected expenses. Just a side note to those who want to own a flying airplane while they work on a homebuilt. Don't do it. Those that do rarely finish their project. Not...
Looks limited to fabric. Thankfully easier to repair or replace. Sorry they got caught in it.
Greetings,
I am about to send in an order for the Waco UBF and QCF drawings lists to NASM. Before I do, I thought would check in here to see if anyone already has these lists on PDF. Seems so...

Yep, get back on the horse. Fly, and fly often! If you do it should be no more anxiety than taking your bicycle out for a ride.
I used a 6" plate shear extensively for my project. I was able to cut 3/16" 4130 using a cheater bar. Makes nice clean cuts. Then take to grinder to finish shape any round corners, etc. I've cut...
Here is what I put together from ex 18 wheeler 100 gal tank and Harbor Freight trailer. 119 gal and under is legal and not considered hazmat in my area. This self contained fueler paid for itself...
Wow, way cool and interesting! Would love to see this going together. Do you have a project site?
Looking for an extra set of 6" Cleveland 40-60 wheels for my Super Cub. 1 1/4 axle. PM for phone or email me through http://tinyurl.com/christiansturm Thanks!
I posted a critical review of last month's magazine. However this month's is great! Go figure! Credit where credit is due. Now for some consistency.
Here are my favorite aviation...
Wayne,
If you like to build then by all means go for it. When you get done your airplane will be brand new and not a worn out beater. If you buy a beater, chances are it will need $$$ maintenance or...
Not sure where all us experimental Cub/Super Cub guys would put theirs. No classification fits. That is why I suggested the replica section. I guess this is targeted more towards kits than plans...
Looks pretty neat. Suggest you add some categories that cover replica aircraft, such as Piper Replica, Cessna Replica, Waco Replica, etc.
Very cool! The rubber under high pressure behaves like a liquid and flows around the part.
Chapter 79 in Spokane always asks if we have any guests or new members at start of every meeting. I am not sure what you were expecting on your first visit but I second what Hangar10 said. You need...
That sounds very reasonable and looks like a quality unit. Thanks.
Not sure what these cost but if you want to build one for around $100 in parts, see:

Dave has had this design freely available for several...
Hell yeah!
Looked like his hands were down by his side and feet on floor to me, on all photos including the cover shot. I found that hillarious.
Took me 5 minutes to read this month's mag. Skipped the TBM...
I noticed nobody has chimed in yet but if it were me, I would ship to Rick Romans and have them inspect and recertify (if possible). Just the basic inspection isn't very expensive.
Handsome looking Super Cub from his page too:

Meco Midget torch with light weight hoses is what I used for my project. Once you use this little torch you won't use any other for O/A thinwall welding. www.tinmantech.com
