    Pilot Operating Handbooks

    My grandson and I were talking about Pilot Operating hand books . My antique ,1946 Commonwealth Skyranger, didn't have one . When did they come out with POH for light aircraft ?

    The POH became an FAA requirement on Mar 1, 1979. Before that, manufacturers provided limitations through a mix of owner's manuals, placards and markings.
