    This Site Slow

For the last week or more this site has been very slow responding. It was over a minute to get on the site and near half a minute to get started typing after clicking post new thread.

I'm not having that problem with any other site I visit.

It's slow again, taking a while to start displaying, though once it starts the page fills immediately.

I agree. It took about 20 seconds to get a page after a login. I thought it may be related to high traffic during our convention, but that should have dissipated by now.
edit: 35 seconds to get a screen refresh after pressing Post Quick Reply.

I have volunteered on more than one occasion to help EAA host and run this site, make sure the SSL certs get renewed before they expire, and so on. I've been running web servers since the mid 1990s, and until my retirement a year ago led teams that built and ran large enterprise systems for multinational banks, including one of the largest in the US. I may have some idea what I'm doing.

So far I've had no response - ever.
