    It's a global party

One of the things I enjoy about conducting is stepping far out of my comfort zone, putting on my crafted "funny conductor" persona and using it to meet and interact with other humans from all over the globe. I would otherwise not do so.

So far, just from their being seated on the back bench of a tram, I've met folks from England, France, Germany, Portugal, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and South Africa. Not bad for a dumb kid from Chicago says I.

Only one more 12-hour day to enjoy with my final shift on Sunday from 8am till whenever they pull the trams off the routes for good in the afternoon. I say it's 9 days well spent on the grounds being dragged around by a John Deere.

Already counting the days till next year.

    Wisconsin NAtional Guard

I didn't think it was necessary to start a new thread for this one comment, so I'll add it here.

It looks like the Wisconsin National Guard has the resources to put on the complete show all by themselves. Quite impressive yesterday.
