I had trouble getting to sleep my first night in HBC. Lots of foot traffic, noise from various sources, noise on the road nearby, etc. I figured all of it predated my attendance by a long time, so maybe I should adapt rather than get upset about it. A pair of foam earplugs worked just fine.

I wasn't told there would be debauchery. If there's an inspection team forming let me know.

I’m in homebuilt camping right now (Tuesday night) and for the life of me I can not understand why this one simple week can not be as totally perfect as the rest of my life.

I don't understand. I stagger out of the tent at 6am looking for a greybox and coffee, and return sometime before midnight. My problem is falling asleep fully clothed. You guys must not be doing Airventure right. I suggest volunteering with Vintage Flightline and coming a week before the show to help set up.![]()
