Why do the Reno race planes never come to A/V ? They could put on a good show with some high speed passes !
Several of them have been to AirVenture over the years, including Rare Bear, which was top of the heap at the time.
But the reality is many are based on the West Coast, and several of the faster ones have modifications that greatly limit their utility as anything other than pure racers. Long cross country trips are not a piece of cake in those airplanes.

The substantial expense of such a trip from west coast and EAA doesn't pay any fee. Many of the race pilots do and have come, in other planes.
