Another question for the experienced builders.
Has anyone ever used poly strapping material for the drag bracing in the wing?
Thoughts? Opinions? Technique?
Thanks,
William

Stiff is probably not a problem, as one can cross-brace like the Fly Baby does with cable.
Strength would definitely be an issue. Fly Babies use 1/8" cable, rated (IIRC) at about 2200 pounds (with 1600-pound turnbuckles). What's the poly strapping strength?
A related factor is the interface to the structure. It doesn't help if the strapping is rated at 2,000 pounds if the connections stress it weird and cause premature failure. Will bolt holes tend to tear? For that matter, how will the strapping be tightened during installation?
Another factor is creep. How dimensionally stable is that strapping under load? Over five or ten years with ~1500 pound load, is it going to stretch? How much?
