    That's cute! I'm gonna show it to my kids so they can see that flying isn't rocket science. I think the intimidation factor of flying is one of the things that keep people from enjoying this wonderful sport - not to mention cost, but that's another conversation for another post.

    I'm the grandpa in the back seat and I am quite proud of the little guy. Best thing I ever did was after 4000 hours in larger singles and cabin twins buy the J-3 and really learn to fly. If you've never flown a little sub 100hp, 75mph, 4.5gph airplane you need to seriously consider doing it.

    Jim,

    Its a great video. I love the part where he starts looking out the side and at the view in general as you're in the flare. What a lovely place as well. Hope you'll join the 75th anniversary fly in to KOSH next year

    I'll be at OSH but I will be flying my 39 Waco CAA Cabin. The J-3 just isn't big enough to haul us and the camping gear.

    Prolly still working on his take offs. Landings are pretty good but takeoffs....
