FAA is redesigning San Francisco Class Bravo Airspace. They are already proposing some changes that improve underneath transits, however they are currently leaving it as a 10000 ft tall Class B. This creates an insurmountable obstacle to Sport Pilots, who are restricted to 10000ft and below. Given it is on the Coast, that effectively leaves Eastside transits as the only viable path for Sport Pilots.

i would hope that EAA, who has been such a champion for Sport Pilot, would weigh in and see if the top can be lowered to 7000 ft like NYC, MIA and BOS which would allow this Bravo to be overflown like NYC, BOS, PIT, PHL, MIA, CLE

Regardless of EAA, You can weigh in yourself at https://www.regulations.gov/docket?D=FAA-2017-0653

This is probably one of those rare moments where we might get a significant change to the better. Does us all a favor and chime in!
