It's a great process but, as lame as I am, I just can't see how the sides get formed down, and tight to the form with only the vertical pressure. What am I missing?

Very cool! The rubber under high pressure behaves like a liquid and flows around the part.

    Hi all:

See this month's (May/16) Experimenter, pgs 2-4 for more great details...

Although, I haven't found the drawings for the forming box on the EAA website - that were mentioned in the story.

    Regards,
    James

We just used this method to form the Ribs for a bearhawk.

We used old farm rubber mats and a 20 ton press. The process worked great.

Lots of YouTube videos on the subject.
