I have a Garrett-6 Turboprop engine for sale. It was removed from a MU-2. It has 512 hours since its last Hot Section inspection with many new parts and 1060 cycles remaining until it's next event. We were going to install it on a Lancair 4P but decided to use a PT6 instead. It would work great on a Murphy Moose, Compair or large homebuilt and the fuel consumption is much better than a PT6 or the Walter. I have the MU-2 isolator engine mounts along with a set of Jetstream engine mounts. We also have the nose bowl from a MU-2 that is also included. Engine includes Beta Tube and Starter-Generator and all accessories to run. 65K invested, make reasonable offer. Serious inquires only please.
We can also retrofit this engine to your experimental aircraft if your ready to step up to Turbine Power. We are a professional aircraft maintenance shop with serious fabrication skills, PM me for my cell phone # if you are interested.
The -6 is rated at 715 shaft horsepower and weights 360 pounds.
Thanks,
