    Small Oops

    Murphy never sleeps!
It was not a major boo-boo but an example of how if a mistake can be made, Murphy will find a way.

At Airventure this year, the Frasca Mk XVIII needed to be towed into a parking space. They had their own tow bar, and it is sort of c shaped so as to clear the bottom of the rudder. The EAA guy put the tow bar on upside down so that it hit and damaged the bottom of the rudder.
The man is a long time volunteer and felt terrible about it. He probably was so eager he got in a bit of a rush.

By the way, Spits should always be towed backwards by the tailwheel, never pushed by the main wheels like a 51 or T-6, or just move by hand.
