How fast are the close camp scholler spaces full
I fly in and usually camp with the plane. Want to bring more of our kids this year, so would like air conditioning in the middle of the day. That means getting an RV delivered...how early would it need to be there to get a decently close spot? I don't want to walk a mile outside the gate. If we had an RV delivered Wednesday or Thursday before the show, how close would we be to the gate?
Does anyone have recommendations on where to get an RV? I'm looking at Outdoorsy.

If you can get the RV delivered with bicycles you are all set. We usually camp really far south in Scholler and bike into the gate.

I imagine the rental places have a plan with it figured out, but if they don’t bring something in until Wed-Thursday, it isn’t going to be real close to a gate in my experience. As mentioned, bike(s) are a big help. The local goodwill store resells hundreds of bikes each year. They’re a bit hit or miss but there are good ones in the stacks.

I agree that by the week prior you won't be real close to the gate, but you shouldn't be way out by I-41 either. We camp in Sleepy Hollow which is a private campground next to Scholler (right across Waukau from the SoS Bros tent) and have an RV delivered to our reserved site. The first year we used Kunes which is a local RV dealer--expensive and it comes bare (no linens, kitchen utensils, flatware, etc). The last 3 years we used RVShare and that's been great, but there's a number of similar outfits. Make sure whomever you use that you have an agreement that the owner will deliver and setup--don't assume. Also communicate with the owner to verify what if anything comes with the RV so you know what you might need to bring with you.

Also be aware that as of right now, Camp Scholler Southeast is scheduled to open on July 9. This new area was necessitated by the loss of the southwest quadrant of the campground for the new "Purple Lot". A new admission gate will be built for the area. It will be just south of the ultralight area. The new camping area will be close to the flightline albeit pretty far (IMHO) south.
