    Builders Log email change

Anyone know how to change the email address on your Builders Log account? I changed my address, but when I logged in with the new address, I couldn’t find my project. I had to change back to my prior address to access my project again.

I tried to submit a question about this via the contact form, which has worked great in the past, but this time I get an error message that says an “invalid parm” was entered and it appears my question never gets submitted. Anyone know what might be wrong with my submission?

Click "My Account" in the upper right corner
Click "Update Profile" near the top
Click "Change Email" near the top

As I wrote in my post, I did that. When I logged in again using the new email, I no longer had access to my project. It was like I was starting from scratch. I had to set the email back to my old email address in order to view my project.

I will try again, but I am 98% sure that I did exactly what you list here and lost my project access in the process.

Huh. I found the process, but haven't ever used it. The site itself is archaic enough (which is why I use my own build log site running Wordpress instead) that I wouldn't be all that surprised if it were broken...

I can't understand why some sites use email addresses for logins. Have they never heard of people getting new email addresses before?

Yes, I prefer using a username, but I don’t think that was an option with the builders log. I have found it to be a fairly easy tool to use and in the past the gentleman who supported it was fantastic to work with. But not the support contact seems to be broken and I don’t how to reach him. I was hoping maybe he followed the forum here. I sent an email to one of the general EAA support addresses, but got no response there either.
