    Late arrival strategy Scholler camping.

I have always arrived Thursday before show and been able to get at least decent camping spots, usually in 101 woods. This year I won’t be able to arrive until Tuesday or Wednesday of the show, have some shady spots in 101 or Paul’s opened up by then? Previous experience folks please chime in!

I'm by no means an expert on this, but from what I've seen, Tuesday would probably be iffy but you may luck out. There is usually a big exodus on both Wed. and Thur., but arrivals for the final weekend also start showing up. The EAA website shows that staff are assisting campers due to wet conditions but I'm not sure how up to date that is. More storms are forecast for this weekend so who knows what conditions will be next week or the week of the show. I'm 100 miles south, but lately it's been 2 nice days followed by 2 of rain/storms. Good luck.

I wouldn’t count on getting a nice spot until Thursday at the earliest, but sometimes you can get lucky. The firsthand reports I’m seeing from folks that are there right now are Scholler, HBC, and Vintage are all in good shape and have dried out nicely. However both N40 and S40 still have some areas that are problematic.
