Burned Valve

My chapter president recently had to replace a cylinder on his O-200 due to a burned valve. He brought it to the chapter meeting tonight for show-and-tell.

I am amazed at how good my cellphone camera did here....

Nice pic Ron. Looks like the valve is the only damage. So for an exh vlv it looks much like a bad seal in the seat created a torch effect burning the vlv in just that area. My guess it's easily repairable with a new vlv and seat grind.
