Still a victim of COVID, I believe.
Depends on the arrangement with the publisher. I used the James Bond theme over the video of me flying the (water) jetpack and all they did is insert an advertisement for ordering the music.
Tower called me a Blue Tomahawk once. What part of my Navion looks like a tomahawk?
Nice to know. We've only done the formation departures. I did that when we had mine and another Navion with two of the RCAF Snowbirds in the right seats along with an RV6 camera ship. One of...
I think it should be better now. They seem to have fixed the redirect bug.
I recall getting them for every year since I started volunteering (1998). They've probably been around longer than that.
Every time I log in I get:
vBulletin Error
Invalid Redirect URL (http://www.eaaforums.org/)
rather than the "click here if you're not redirected" screen. It seems to inhibit the "remember...
I agree with (the other) Ron on this. Some TCs (like the Navion) provide for multiple engines being eligible on different serial numbers. Those you can change with a logbook entry.
In this case,...
You do understand about Reynolds numbers and the like? Power and lift do not scale linearly with size.
Was that 3/4 scale or three different quarter scale prototypes?
Experimenter before it got folded in was pretty much the ultralight magazine and that pretty much has been dying with LSA.
The EAA has nothing to do with Sun N Fun. They had a code last year for $5 (EAA902) but they haven't updated the page for this year. SunNFun does list them as an organization that has discounts...
If I don't have the four burnin' in addition to the six turnin' it isn't worth it.
Well they'd have to start by finding one. Even when they were still flying the B-36A's were all converted to RB-36Es.
Vintage Flight Line can use volunteers at any time of the day the airport is open (6AM-8PM). We run training twice a day (9AM and 1PM, you only need attend one) every day. We have jobs from...
Klein (and others) make a fly cutter that will cut through wood. I've got a generic one I bought years ago. You don't want to use it without a drill press.
This will be our 30th year a the show and our 24th year volunteering. The latter I can remember (make that, I better remember) because our first year volunteering is the year we got married.
What are you cutting? That thing is only rated for relatively thin steel.
Which one are you talking about. Klein makes a few things described as hole cutters. There are ones that are just carbide hole saws with a spring to help kick out the plug which are pretty nice....
See ya there.
The other Ron does a good job, ut one thing not mentioned. Building a plane based on the plans is MAKING a copy under the law (same goes for using architectural plans to build a house).
The pre-photoshopping images are available from the Library of Congress here: https://www.loc.gov/collections/wright-brothers-negatives/
Then there's this one (Dulles Jet Center during a snow storm a decade or so back):
...
They often call him Speedo, but his real name is Mr. Wanttaja.
I think he meant the pain of having to switch planes in Detroit, Chicago, or Denver. to get to Appleton. Appleton isn't the hub of anything. I agree once you get to ATW, it's a nice transfer to...
