Oshkosh ruins all other airshows, I'm with you on that.
See, you think that if bikes were allowed on the grounds, you could get to forums quicker. In actuality, if bikes were allowed on the grounds, there would be kids riding bikes all over the place like...
That's what it's all about.
Jet powered sail plane in the night shows:rollseyes:
This year I carried earplugs with me for whenever the Navy or Air force arrived. They've never really bothered be too much except for Harrier, but better safe than sorry I suppose.
Yeah, the only time I really saw trashed piled up was at the very end of the day. Kudos, the place looks great.
It did feel like there were more planes on the field Thursday-Saturday than in the past.
:D Yep, still got it.
Great job this year Randy. I never rode the trams, but I heard many of your jokes as the tram went by. Never heard about your wife's Cessna though.
Scholler expanded into several of the parking lots along Ripple this year. They were even south of Ripple. Heck, they were even south of Ripple along Knapp across from where they had to expand the...
Showers were pretty bad this year. With all of the additional campgrounds added to the south, the South Stits showers were overwhelmed. A 30 minute wait at 10:30 pm was not uncommon. Trying the Elm...
Camp has been open for a few weeks now.
During the night show you'll have it all to yourself.
Welcome to Oshkosh!
The people sitting right up front with their chairs sit there all day. Security really frowns on unattended lawn chairs, they tend to blow away into parked aircraft. The people...
I wouldn't count on it. Last year I was there on the Friday before, and they had already cleared it out, butted everything else up to the mural wall. It's a shame really, I only get to Oshkosh once a...
That sounds pretty solid. There is tons of flying action on the weekend before (my favorite part) but a lot of folks leave on Thursday, you really start to see the field thin out.
And to that point, fast food has gotten so expensive that it's really not too outrageous to eat on site now.
It's all a moot point because you are never going to want to leave anyhow.
I know for sure that I have also finished unpacking and doing my laundry.
I was sent a second email with a working link.
I actually wasn't too bothered by food prices this year. Yes they are high, but food prices are high across the board, and the Airventure prices were closer to outside prices than they had been the...
I understand why, I just think it's a bad way to treat your guests. They do not after all, park the 1/72nd scale Enterprise model outside. Nor the Corsair that the EAA JUST featured in Sport Aviation.
Also, the Thursday airshow was just one of the best. It was my Brother in law and nieces first Oshkosh, and they were blown away by the F-35 on Wednesday. On Thursday, it flew three times in the...
Great shots! Almost as good as being there.
I was very pleasantly surprised to see high quality model kits in the shops. The last few years had been cheap Revell kits and even cheaper snap kits. I always said if EAA had high quality kits in...
