Just went to the download page for the student edition, and it is $100 PER YEAR. Subscription again. Not gonna play. Freecad and/or Fusion360 free version for me.
There was something said from EAA recently stating that it was a scam.
Do it, and don't hesitate. Trying on my own is frustrating.
SUCCESS! It is a marvelous thing. Thanks to all of you for helping me make this jump! It had everything to do with angles. I was able to make two successful sweeps today, and it feels marvelous!
Let me see if I am even close to understanding this - if I want the curve to follow (or be drawn in) the front plane, I need to select a plane perpendicular to it ( say, the right plane ) and draw...
In my on-going quest to build AN fittings, I have a need to build sweeps tha follow a curve. Try as I might, I cannot draw a curve that is normal to the plane of the entity I want to sweep. The curve...
Obviously much too simple! Thanks!

Dumb question again - is there any way to combine members of a assembly into a new part? I have a couple of instances where that would be very helpful.
If you are a science fiction reader, check out 'The moon is a harsh mistress'. That's where I saw it first.
In the words of Robert Heinlein - TANSTAAFL.
Check McMaster-Carr out. They have completely accurate models of all go their fasteners - including AN bolts and fittings.

I found those, and they were somewhat helpful. Hard to read sometimes, due to age and poor copying processes, I suppose. Thanks!
I am amazed at the wealth of information already provided! Thanks everyone for your input. As for metric, I just say no. AN fittings (and their later cousins NAS &MS) are the industry standard, so...
I am attempting to build a library of AN tube fittings, and am having a devil of a time finding properly dimensioned drawings. If anyone can point me to decent source, that would be a marvelous...
Thanks for the info on McMaster parts. I had forgotten about the link, because I never had software that could use it before! Now, my next dumb question refers to a comment made above about moving...
Ok - so where at McMaster do you find these STEP files to download? I can't find a link on the site that I can download these from.
Young Eagles Day today at Haller Field, Green Cove Springs, FL Chapter 1379 - we flew more than 70 Young Eagles today. I am not terribly happy with the protection policy myself, but I won't give up...
Bump to top again. Still for sale.
Bump to top - guys, I really need to sell this radio. Make a decent offer and you just might get it!
Radio has never been installed, and has all of the recent firmware updates to make it emulate the SL-30. Includes harness built by Val. Can be interfaced with glass panels to give vertical guidance...
Radio still for sale. Easiest, cheapest, and simplest way to add glideslope to your airplane!
Bump back to top - both still for sale!
They are mounted in racks that allow each to go into a standard 3 1/8 instrument hole. TSTI in Waco went through them and brought them up to speed. The release document will be included. Also...
As a past owner of an M20B, I can tell you that I loved the bird. It was a mite close in the cockpit (I am over 6' and 240#), but that is how the Mooney gets its speed - low frontal area. It is the...
