Sport Air Racing season is coming up. Here's a little teaser. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O-StHMqPho

Cool video hydroguy! Makes me REALLY wait for next summer (Nordic, WAGAC and WAAC to wait for...)!
Btw, it was a hidden video, for some particular reason? Is it ok to pass the link to few of my friends?
share away. Hopefully it will encourage people to get out and do some flying, even if they just show up at a race to watch or help.
Here are a couple videos I shot about a year ago on the way to and from an airshow at Tulsa International Airport.
Just simple, beautiful flying. I love it.

I've made several videos, most of them while doing aerobatics over the farm...spins, hammers, etc. One of my favorites is this one... Brent and I took a leisurely flight over the farm on a sultry summer day.

This is a video that we have built at Utah Valley University Aviation. It was created by the employees that are also working on building new and innovative online courses for our online students. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLAreFQ3G5k
A different Brent by the way, than the one mentioned above :D

Gorgeous, I love it! http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...coolgleamA.gif
That runway surrounded by corn is just fantastic. Very cool. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...s/thumbsup.gif
I have family over near Mountain Grove and Van Zant.
Where in Missouri are you located?
Here's a video of a late autumn flight from this past October. A Sunset tour of a couple of private airstrips around Central Illinois in my 1954 Supercub
http://youtu.be/s7bcakCBPjg
Here's a HD tour of a few public and private airstrips South of Peoria, Illinois. The video was shot the end of January 2012. The main wheel camera is a GoPro Hero2, the wing camera iis an NFlightcam + with aviation lens and the tailwheel camera is a Go Pro Hero. The airplane is my 1954 L21B Supercub.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Flying in and out of the corn is really fun. There is another video on my Vimeo page that shows landing and taking off in the corn. It's really a unique experience. :) Too bad we have wheat out there now....it's not as much fun. Kinda blah, like soy beans. :D
We are south of Lamar and about 20 miles northeast of Joplin. Drop in and see us sometime! :-)
Just looking for an excuse to fly my plane!

On my way to Oshkosh two years ago, I got into weather and had to put my Mooney down in a corn field.
Well, it was actually the airport at Seneca, Kansas (62K) but it was nothing more than a patch of grass surrounded by corn. And a wet patch of grass at that!
After weather cleared, it was pretty neat to yank the gear up and zip right over top the corn.
I will keep an eye out for your place on my next trip to MO. When I visit family, we usually land at West Plains.Quote:

Steep Turns in my Cessna 172 using the Drift HD170 wide angle video camera. I went out yesterday and mounted my new wide angle video camera on the strut of my C172. The camera comes with a curved helmet mount that fits perfectly on the wing strut (with aircraft adhesive [duct] tape). The video camera is made by Drift:

Here's the video. Please excuse the shameless plug at the end:

PS: Mozart rocks...
A friend took this video of me doing a few turns over their house last weekend. She's not a professional but does a pretty good job capturing the blazing Chief and the mighty Lycoming O-145-B2 rumble!

Looks like an interesting place! I'm always looking for interesting grass strips. :)
We are at 08MO. Stop by and see us sometime. :)
Here is a video that my nephew made a few years ago at the age of 13. He won a school contest with his video. It involved an aerobatic flight that we took at a family gathering at our farm on Thanksgiving. He's such a neat kid. :)

Here is a video of my wife and I picking up our Stinson and flying it home from North Carolina to Washington State:

...and this is a video I made at my summer job (which I get to do when the stars align, something like 11 seasons under my belt now). This was at Lake Chelan, while most of my float flying has been off Lake Washington into British Columbia fishing lodges:

I've taken all of these videos, in our 1964 Beechcraft Baron B55. The plane was the cover of the April 2011 American Bonanza Society Magazine.

I was out flying last Friday - lots of ground fog and haze - made for a great video made with Three GoPro Camera's. I thought the music fit the occasion.

It's been awhile since anyone posted to this thread (maybe there's a different "Show Us Your Video" thread now?)
Anyways - here's a video I just made for Cub Air Flight (where I got my Private Certificate) - hopefully you'll agree that it captures the spirit of flying a Cub:

Keep posting those videos!
Hey Cubonaut and Ryan, those are great videos! Thanks for sharing, Bryce
I'm most impressed by the part of Ryan's video that's taken in a formation flight.
Thanks for watching Bryce and Zaitcev! I'm a big fan of Cubonaut's video (and all of the videos on this forum) too.
Thanks - as you can imagine, having really experienced pilots helps a ton to get shots like that. We were operating out of a less than traditional camera plane (Super Cub), so it was a little difficult to get some of the shots. As the camera operator I was shooting backwards past me out the open door while looking into a monitor - so all of my lateral camera inputs were reversed. I imagine it's somewhat similar to flying inverted relative to the horizon. I used some in camera stabilization, but there was no room (or budget ) for a big fancy stabilizing gimbal.Quote:

In case any of you had thoughts of improving your skills or airplane performance, you would be hard to find a better venue than Sport Air Racing League. there is a class for most everything.
Here's a video of the start at Big Sky Air Race 2013.

Had the privilege of filming another video for CubAir recently - this one at one of their Young Eagles rallies for the local Boy Scout Pack:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTZOszLctJI
BTW - Having recently flown my first Young Eagle I must say that if you've never done it... YOU NEED TO DO IT. Very rewarding. I'm pretty sure I got a bigger kick out of it than he did and he called the flight, "Awesome" and "Flightalicious." Pretty high praise from a teenager.

flying helos has been a blast. Key west departure.

Here's my video showing what GA is to me. A Sunday morning pancake breakfast run to Boscobel, Wis. (KOVS) in the Wisconsin River valley. Camera was mounted on the left landing gear strut of a Cessna 172.

So I had the extreme luck of filming another flying video - you might have seen Sarah Wilson's Jimmy Allen Speedmail at Oshkosh last year and in Sport Aviation - I was lucky enough to work with Sarah to produce her "Biplane Valentine" this year. For your viewing enjoyment:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyjbUesxAVU
By the way - after filming that day I'm convinced that every pilot needs an open cockpit biplane in their hangar. Wow.

I agree. The open air and various smells is pure excitement.
Did someone say open air?
A few with the Skybolt...

A little mountain time with the wife:

(not sure why they're not embedding)
Doug…
Those are AWESOME videos. One thing I'm jealous of (in addition to the Skybolt) is all of the great terrain you've got nearby. There's nothing like low and slow over the cornfields of Wisconsin, but sometimes I just long for a mountain or two.
Thanks guys. Lots of great videos on this thread! These keep me going during the winter!
This is the Cascade Mountains about 40 miles east of Seattle, close to Snoqualmie Pass. I fly out of Fall City and the mountains are about 5 minutes away. Great place to fly!
