We did it, safely arrived in Cape Town 30 minutes ahead of schedule - do a google "vintage air rally" for the lowdown.
Beginning of 2018, we have the Ushuaia2USA edition - see our website www.vintageairrally.com for more information shortly...
Sam,
Now that you have one behind you, providing some history lessons for those interested in the Ushuaia trip would be very helpful. Things like insurance cost/experience, reassembly situation (available help, facilities, tools, etc.), how the aircraft problems were dealt with, are just examples. So far, every time I look at the Wx in Ushuaia it's raining. I would hate to open the container with my aircraft in anything but a dry hangar.
Looking forward to seeing the route plan.
Ernie

We confirmed the support of the Argentinian Navy last week - free use of their hangars for the rebuild process in Ushuaia!
What do you fly?
Cheers, Sam.
Hm, sorry about that, but also we haven't sent a newsletter out yet this month, so you're probably on the list correctly. Your plane satisfies the criteria! :)
After a huge amount of requests (complaints!) we've decided to open a vintage monoplane category for the Ushuaia2USA VintageAirRally.
Safe flights, Sam.
