IAC/EAA Officer Elections

I got my email the other day from IAC....."Notice of Election-Cast Your Vote Now". It detailed a simple on-line process for casting your vote as an IAC member for the officers of the club. Web site with candidate profiles, etc, and click to vote...done.

I'm wondering if this has been considered for the main EAA membership election....and if not, why not? It seems much more efficient and less limiting than the current 'proxy or show-up and vote' options. Apparently there are no technical obstacles, as evidenced by the IAC procedure.
