Probably did the warbird approach, thought the prison arrival might be more appropriate.

In 2003, I was down at Kitty Hawk watching the first flight reenactment. It was a dreary overcast day but suddenly a B-2 made a low pass over the FFA runway. Cool, says I, you don't see that every day.
Shortly thereafter, Air Force 1 (officially, it had W. aboard) made a similar low pass. This may be the only time I've heard of where a plane bearing the president has made a low pass over the crowd.

According to this article, NBC news says the event was attended by "several hundred" people.

Local paper just said, "more than one hundred."

Well it is a bigger crowd than I got when I landed at OSH on July 30.

There have been times, however, when a landing of mine seemed more like an "arrival" that I swear more people than in the posted picture were watching (and scoring.)

The posted picture shows goodly number of people considering the August population of Oshkosh and the area, but to compare it to AirVenture...well that must have been an estimate by someone who has never been close to Lake Winnebago in late July.

Unless they meant AirVenture 2020.

Anyone can see that that is the biggest crowd in the history of Wittman Field. It may possibly be the biggest crowd ever seen in all of Wisconsin, if not the entire Midwest. Many people are saying so. It was also a beautiful crowd. In fact, the entire event was fantastic.
And if you don't believe me, I'll go get my Sharpies.
