Anyone know anything about Edge Performance and their upgrade of a Rotax 912ULS 100hp to 154 hp? Any safety concerns?

In my 50+ years of flying and building aircraft and engines, I have seen many “modifications” of engines, some good, and some not so good. Although this may be a great engine, the proof is in its extended use, i.e., when hundreds are in the air with thousands of hours are run reliably, then we have a winner. It sounds like this company has invested heavily in developing a sound design for increased performance. I would give it time for reliability data to emerge. VR... Don

I know nothing of the upgrade in question, but the 912 is a fantastic engine and it performed really well on my Rans. However for the price of a 912ULS and the Upgrades in question you are going to be in the price bracket of a motor that is designed to put out that power in stock configuration. Why wouldnt you just go that route? Im all for inovation and modification (This is EAA after all) but I like to edge on the side of safety when it comes to the powerplant.
