View Full Version : Need obsolete card edge connector

Hi, All;

I've recently come into an iCom A200 comm unit and tray.

I need to re-wire it. The current terminals in the molex edge connector are crimp-type, p/n Molex 4366-GL. The usual sources, Mouser, Digikey, Allied, eBay, etc. all say these are NLA.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to where I might find some terminals, or, alternately, find a new 30-pin connector with solder lugs or some other viable solution?

Thanks for any input;

Carl: Take a look at this and see if it helps: https://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/008030304_sd.pdf

If that fails and a call to Molex doesn't pan out, new trays are available here: https://www.ameradio.com/product/8087/description.html or here: https://www.theantennafarm.com/catalog/icom-a200-tray-2426

Thanks, Craig; good list of the different part numbers for same part except for plating, etc. Unfortunately, they're just about all still "obsolete" and not stocked by anyone. Trays look interesting, and, no, I haven't contacted either of the sellers, but I would ignorantly assume a new connector and terminal pins would be included. *sigh* The search continues...

Hi,
Try Ebay for Atari edge connectors 30 pin.

Interesting, Dave; thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, only ones on ebay right now are just the plastic shells, no pins. Will keep looking though....

Thanks Rick; number of pins is correct but really need to see the other side. What kind of card edge connector do you have on the 210?

7896Hi, are you sure this isn't your huckelberry? Card Edge Connector Row 30 Pin 3.96mm Pitch 805 Slot Solder PCB 2x15 Socket CP30

Y’know, Rick, I think that will work! I downloaded the 210 install guide, and the diagrams and illustrations look like an exact match except for the 210 not having a wire for panel light. For the price it’s a decen gamble.

Dave, that about looks like it. I’m away from the unit for a few days but will check that one as well as the one from spruce.
