It is my understanding that if you buy a ticket for Monday July 23 you get in free on Sunday July 22. Can I drive in on Sunday buy a ticket for Monday and stay or is that just for campers? Can you do that if you buy a veterans ticket or does it have to be a full price ticket? Any trams running on that Sunday or any food places open?

Be aware of the new restrictions on the vendor areas before opening day on Monday. Trams are usually running (I'll find out Saturday) and there are some food vendors open.

There's only one wristband labelled something like "Sunday/Monday, July 22nd & 23rd". Even if you buy it on Monday! You cannot stay on the grounds past closing time unless you're camping. Come in Sunday AM, enjoy seeing the arrivals and all the grounds, leave, get a good night sleep, and come back Monday AM.

The exhibit barns are not open. The outdoor vendors, like the kit manufacturers, are still in the process of setting up, but most will at least stop and say hi if you have a question. As Randy says, watch out for the traffic and restricted areas on Sunday.
