Ultralight build under 5k?

I would like to find an ultralight I can build under 5k in under 6 months. Is this unheard of or is it doable? I would prefer something with a puller engine.

I'd ask in the Ultralight sub-forum down from this one.

It also depends on what kind of Ultralight you're interested in. A powered parachute is different than a fixed wing one, for example.
