Well done, Dave - looks great!
How how about writing it up for the "What Our Members Are Building" section of Sport Aviation?
We'd want about 300 words about and a nice, clean high-res picture, sent to editorial@eaa.org.
Hope to hear from you!
Regardless, congratulations again -
Hal

Just saw this thread. Belated congratulations!
Flight report, now that you (hopefully) have some hours on her? I'm particularly interested in how it flies with your direct drive motor.

43 hours on her at this point. Just about to exit phase one program. Pure joy to fly "low and slow". Cruise at 2800RPM is 85MPH. Lands around 40-45MPH. I see 500+FPM climb at 65MPH. VERY well behaved airplane. 2 others have flown her and remark the same thing.
Weather permitting I'll have her at OSH this year. Wednesday the 26th at 1PM I'll do a "Hombuilts on Review" in front of the Homebuilders Hangar on her.

Thanks for that! Sounds like a blast. I'm sorry I won't be at OSH this year to see it. I have a set of the study plans that he used to sell, and every once in a while I take them down off the shelf and go "Hmmmm..." in that mischievous sort of way.
