I worked for Boeing when Airbus was just starting to dig into our market share. I think the competition has been good for both companies and, especially, the flying public.

In the ugly insult, negative and hateful comments driven twitterverse, it's refreshing and progressive to see one industrial titan make the time, effort and expense to sincerely congratulate a rival industrial titan. Good on them. Yes, competition is always good, especially for the lowly consumer.

Just saw this video and had the same thought. I give Airbus a lot of credit for making that video.

It's a little harder to track the origins of Airbus, but hopefully Boeing will respond in kind when Airbus has its 100 year anniversary.
