I have a friend that is flying commercial to Appleton and I planned to pick him up in my plane and fly into Oshkosh for Air Adventure. If the weather is bad, is there any ground shuttles between the two airports that he can take?

If your friend can get to the Greyhound bus stop in Appleton from the airport, Lamers Bus Lines has 2 routes that provide service 365 days a year between Appleton and either the Wittman Airport terminal or the UW Oshkosh campus if they are staying in the dorms. Information on the routes is at the links:

I have stayed in Appleton the last couple of years and the shuttle service is fantastic. Good schedules, nice busses. FWIW

During Airventure, the shuttle leaves right from the Appleton terminal. I have flown commercial into the show via Appleton a couple of times. Appleton is so small that you walk from the airliner through the terminal and on the bus in a couple of minutes. 45 minutes later you're at the main gate for the show.

If you need more information regarding the shuttles I have attached the link to EAA's webpage!

See you in July!

My husband and I have flown into Appleton Airport numerous times while staying at the Oshkosh University Dorms. The shuttles are right outside the airport entrance usually set up and parked just to the right as you exit. The last time we used it was about 5 years ago and the cost was reasonable at a cost $10 per person (2009). It takes about 40 minutes which goes by very quickly. The drivers are very friendly. They will drop you off at the EAA grounds bus parking terminal. (Not to be confused with the city bus terminal). There (at the EAA grounds) you can catch other buses to the city terminal, dorms, etc. It was very efficient. We have met some great people while on the shuttles. But that was a given cause we were all heading to " EAA Oshkosh"

Thanks! I wasn't aware that their was a shuttle that left right from the terminal. I'll have to keep that in mind.
