I went up with Garry in his Cessna 140 to capture some slips on video.

Great!

But in some of the "slips to a land" in a Champ I've been in wouldn't have the runway in view, as the plane was just about going sideways.

Here's a video of me flying the original Fly Baby prototype about 25 years ago. Bit of a slip at the end:

Here's a later video, shot with a low-resolution camera mounted to the axle, showing the view from the airplane:

The axle mounted view doesn't seem to work very well. The first clip is a lot of fun to watch. excellent synching with the music!

Very early camcorder...something like 320x200 resolution, and early codecs that really pixilate the thing.

Something with a more-modern camera, though the slip isn't as severe:

Something a bit retro...$15 key fob camera, attached to the gas cap with double-faced tape.

The hard part was finding room for the piano player.... :-)

Glad you like them! I know some folks hate music added to flying videos, but in reality, there's not much to hear when on a Fly Baby.

This is one of my favorites, though, again, taken a long time ago with a way outdated camcorder. I made multiple flights with the camera in a different position, and edited it in with music most flying nuts should like. Nice slip at the end, too....
