We visited The Taxiway Café at the Lancaster Airport in Lancaster, Texas. We flew out of McKinney National Airport, then over Mesquite and then direct to Lancaster. The Taxiway Café has some of the best food around.

Thanks for the review of the Taxiway Cafe. I've put it on my list of must-visit airports.
And speaking of the Mckinney airport, I see that the FBO there has been nationally recognized, and the airport's tower controllers have been rated Number One, by the Pilots' Choice awards.

"For the second year in a row, McKinney Air Center, the fixed base operator (FBO) at McKinney National Airport, ranked in the top 10 in the Pilots’ Choice Awards competition.
McKinney Air Center was chosen as the # 6 FBO in the country against competition with the largest and busiest FBOs, like Meridian located in Teterboro, New York, and Banyan Air Service in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. McKinney Air Center ranked fourth in the South Central Region.
The Air Traffic Control Tower was ranked #1 in the country. The air traffic controllers at McKinney National Airport, who are employed by Robinson Aviation, Inc., compete against all control towers in the United States, including those operated by the Federal Aviation Administration."
