Would anyone happen to know of a source for parts for the O-200 old pull type starter 1109656 ? Brushes, seals, etc. How about a source for a parts manual ?

Just got done replacing the seal on the starter for my C85; I believe it's the same one as used in the early O-200s.

I bought it (actually, *them*, I got spares). from Gary Boss at Cumberland Aero (1-800-524-6319).

They probably have the other starter parts you need, as well. If you get in a bind, drop me a line...I picked up a "parts" starter a few years back and could probably send you other goodies.

Haven't found a manual, but I bet Mr. Boss probably knows what you need.

UPDATE
No luck with Cumberland. They did not return my inquiry. Anyway...... after a lot of searching and getting some info from Remy International (they stopped supporting the starter in 1975), I found that BWD X357 brushes are the same as Delco brushes, the Delco rotor seal 1867150 is the same as a National 470027 or a John Deere AR62964, and the Delco clutch seal 1910379 is the same as a National or Timken 6324S. Parts are available at a variety of automotive parts stores and your John Deere dealer/parts store. I also see that Fresno Air Parts offers a repair kit for $45. With shipping, I ordered parts for $35.
