I closed last week on my first plane, a 1987 Yakovlev Yak-52. Fully aerobatic, 360 hp supercharged nine-cylinder radial, big paddle-bladed prop, thing pulls like a tractor.

Completed transition training last Thursday and getting used to it and the little idiosyncracies from the pneumatic systems.

Lots of character and lots of fun!

Just beautiful - congratulations! I've always loved the look of the -52. I've never flown one, the closest I've come is some time in a CJ-6, so I've experienced a taste of the "pneumatic idiosyncrasies". Just part of what gives these airplanes so much character. Enjoy!

Very nice looking aircraft. Can you post some pictures of the cockpit?
