I've gotta check my father's logs to see if, per chance, he flew this Bearcat.

They were holding up officer commissions in 1949 and he and my "Navy Uncles" arrived in their first operational squadron VF-113 still as Aviation Midshipmen, flying F8F Bearcats under the first skipper of the Blue Angels, Butch Voris.
