While a lot of us here are into model aviation as well, as someone posted in another thread, you'll get a lot more help with R/C specific questions on a board like rcgroups.com.

That being said, I've always been a fan of the Real Flight (http://www.realflight.com/) series myself.

Try FlightGear. It may be very complicated at first, but trust me, the simulator is VERY accurate and includes just about everything from real world air physics to real controls of the plane (Magneto, battery, navigation control, mapping, you name it.). The simulator is free and works on most computers.

Try "X-Plane".

I have the Real Flight RC simulator, it's an older version and didn't run so well on my memory/graphics challenged computer-it would pause and resume while flying. Even with the issue I had, it was still a good way to keep my skills fresh through the winter.

Real Flight series is a good simulator - as already mentioned. Only works on PC tho.
Another good one is Aerofly, which I tend to like even more.

Of course, if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a simulator, you might want to try FMS, but that does not work on newer computers...
