Artist and painter John Stahr, as featured in this months Sport Aviation magazine, is in the middle of doing a marathon paint job on my RV-9A. If you would like to see a master craftsman's work in progress, I have posted pictures on the below link. It looks like it will be a 8 day job, and I am posting the new pictures every day. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for posting and allowing us to see the whole labour intensive process. Looking forward to seeing your final masterpiece. And if I may inquire, I think we'd all like to know about your cost for such a master craftsman.

Keep in mind materials alone are about 2K. And at the risk of sounding like a smart a**, it cost more than $100, less than my panel, and about half of what I think it is worth. More pictures to follow.

Personally not sure I like the colors.................. I LOVE THEM haha
What a gorgeous design and paint job, afraid I'd find little time to fly with spending most of it just looking at that incredible job.

You gotta be one happy camper.

Beautiful!! You must tell us where you intend to park at Oshkosh if you fly it in. I(and many others here I'm sure) would like to see it and say hello.

Thank you! John is rounding up about 5 or so customers of his to park together, right along the row, I believe on Knapp, near the forums. Same place he was parked last year if you know where that was. See you there!

I know the location, thanks. See you soon and in the meantime have fun showing off your masterpiece.

Glenn,

My son and I saw your airplane at AirVenture, and it is magnificent! As were all of the other John Stahr paint jobs.

Thank you folks! And she flew with no issues from Arizona to Oshkosh and back........No Joy from the judges though, heard I lost several points for not removing the cowl and not being around the plane more when the judges were around, but all of that is ok.
