I am about to start building a Thatcher CX-5. I am having a bit of trouble finding technical advisers in my area. The boonies of Michigan.
I have made contact with a local EAA chapter (979), but non are builders to say.
Any suggestions where else to try?

Bob,

Great to hear you are starting a project. I'm looking forward to seeing the CX-5 here at Oshkosh for the fly in. Missed it at Sun n Fun.

If you go to www.eaa.org (http://www.eaa.org) and look under Aviation Interests, Homebuilders, then Programs you will find a lookup for Technical Counselors. Or if you follow this link, you can find Technical Counselors by state (you will have to be logged in first).
https://www.eaa.org/en/eaa/aviation-communities-and-interests/homebuilt-aircraft-and-homebuilt-aircraft-kits/eaa-homebuilt-airplane-programs-and-resources/eaa-technical-counselor-program/find-an-eaa-technical-counselor

If you want us to look them up based on your zip code, send me an email at cbecker@eaa.org and I'll send you back a list. Geo referenced searching is not yet available on our web search but I have access to it.
