A real fighter pilot, James Goodson of N Y has passed away in a Boston area hospital at 93.
He joined the RAF as an Eagle Squadron member at 19, flew Hurricanes, Spitfires, then into the U S air corp in P-47 and P-51s, and was a 30 victory ace.
Unlike many vets, he enjoyed telling of his wartime deeds, and his kids joked with him, "Dad we've heard what you did, but did anyone else do anything in the war"?
