I'm not even sure it is still called aeroshell square but whatever it is called, what's going to be parked there this year? I am assuming the C5 and/or the C17 won't be there due to the federal budget cuts. Other years there was the flying eye care jet, the A380, the concord, etc. Is there anything planned to be parked there this year?

I was just thinking exactly the same thing. I haven't heard any announcements of anything big coming in. Would be odd not to have some sort of big aircraft sitting there.

I don't think it will be much of an issue. The private stuff is always welcome and shows up. Who knows what airlines might show up? I'm thinking that with the theme this year basically being "everything aviation" we'll probably see some greater emphasis on prime vintage and homebuilt stuff. Probably have some of the larger/cleaner warbirds. There's always things like Duggy and some of the DC-3 foundations. Collings Foundation and/or CAF may have some of their larger items there. I love the C-17 / C-5, but I think we'll be just fine with what we do show.

I know it won't be this year, but still hoping to see the B-2 on the ground in Oshkosh some year. I was there when the F-111 was on public display for the first time, I think the Concord was there too that year. Gotta have something big that someone doesn't see every day!

there will be nothing at aeroshell square this year.
Main reason--no such thing as aeroshell square !!
Now there IS a Conoco Phillips plaza.
Is that what we are talking about ????

Come to where I am krw920 and you too can see the B-2 everyday. And hear the noisy thing. Not complaining though, its "The sound of freedom"

It would be nice to see a B-2 on the ground in Oshkosh some day, but won't be this year. While we are waiting, if anyone gets to Knob Noster, Mo. PM me and I'll escort you on the base so you can see it. No guarantees though because they all have there own hanger and the doors are closed most of the time.

I'm 31 years old this year, itll be my 31st time to oshkosh. I for one would love to see some homebuilts featured at (insert name here) square. Maybe some past Lindy winners or others of note. I couldn't care less about some Alabama National Guard C-17 taking up space...

We'll be featuring past Lindy winners on Phillips 66 Plaza every day - great minds think alike. ;)
