Not the senic route
Larry Gaines ( head of Bonanzas2OSH) and Mark Merrill ( another B2OSH pilot) are flying their bonanza to Oshkosh.
BUT--they decided to add a extra waypoint in the GPS
THE NORTH POLE !!
they are in Cambridge Bay cananda right now,then up to Eureka, NU-- finishing up their prep work and making sure the fuel depots are where they are suppose to be

There is a way point in the data base labeled NPOLE. It's rather inhospitable up there though. Regardless of what the global warming crowd says, there are 100s & 100s of miles of ice, then more 100s.
