Yesterday Jeff Skiles, Brian O'Lena and I flew to Knoxville to join Chapter 17's annual luncheon. Was good to meet everyone, also excellent food. We were able to share what is going on at EAA with our various programs, publications, government advocacy and announced the launching of our new monthly Chapter Video Magazine (this May). We showed a 2 minute video on AirVenture 2013. Jeff shared his story about the Miracle on the Hudson. One of the passengers happened to be in attendance and she was able to speak about the experience from a passenger's perspective.

We then flew to Charlotte. This evening we will be attending the 4th Anniversary of the Miracle on the Hudson reunion with passengers and crew. Thanks to Jeff Skiles, we got an invitation. :) Will be an honor to be a part of this. We will also be able to see the actual aircraft that is on display here in Charlotte.

Tomorrow night we will be meeting with several of our Charlotte Chapters for a Grass Roots Pilot Tour. Over 200 have RSVP'd for tomorrow evening. We will then be heading to Raleigh on Tuesday. We have found it very successful to have a host chapter and then invite all EAA Chapters within a certain mile radius. This way we can visit with more chapter members at one stop.

Next month we are planning on Portland and Seattle. We will be tentatively traveling a week each month during the winter to visit with chapters.

Will keep you posted. I tried uploading photos...but, for some reason with this connection at this hotel, unable.
