A friend was driving by the Museum last weekend and noticed that the jet (F-86??) is missing from it's mounting pole. What's the story?

The F-86 will be going back to its original home on the other, larger pole where the lighted "casino" sign was, and a P-80 with its gear down will be placed on a t-shaped crossbar and mounted to the smaller pole in a landing configuration. Last I heard, the F-86 is getting cleaned and probably painted before going up on the pole.

Hang around folks, Shooting Star is next on the pole. Sabre is going to be on the pole on the far side for those wanting a second look.
Shooting Star, you're needed on the pole next...Shooting Star to the pole, please.

This is horribly un-PC, but it fits your quote perfectly!

I think they chose dancer and warbird names from the same lists.

That P-80 is probably a single ship trying to take care of a couple BD-5s. No shame in that.
