Nice video! I like how the wide-angle lens makes the sky look endless.

What did you use for a mount? I have a Drift 170 on a Cessna 172 as well but mount it on the landing gear strut. I don't like how it makes the belly look fat though!

The Drift came with a helmet mount that pretty much matches the curve of the wing strut. I used gaffers tape to tape the helmet mount to the strut at about eye level. The gaffers tape protects the paint on the airplane, but doesn't hold in strong wind. So I put a layer of white duct tape on top of the gaffers tape. I'm making a "how-to" video now to show how I did it. I'll post when it when it's done.

One correction though. I went back and removed the duct tape and replaced it with gaffers tape, then put a layer of duct tape on top of the gaffers tape, since gaffers tape tends to come loose in a strong wind. Duct tape, directly on an airplanes paint is not a good idea.

Great how-to video. Thanks for putting that together.

I use a RAM mount that is shaped for the strut leading edge and tie it down with a rubber coated hose clamp.
