Learn about composite construction in Palm Springs

I live in northern Alberta, a long way from other home builders. I have been trying to attend a composite workshop but have not found one convenient or affordable to get to.
We will be staying in the Palm Springs area for Jan and Feb.
If any one is building or has an interest in showing me a bit of basics of composite construction I would be most gratefull.

I live in Big Bear, CA, about 50 mi from Palm Springs in San Berdo mountains. Worked in aerospace composites for many years. Built a Pulsar XP compsite plane which is in hangar here. Can show you basics of composites but Jan/Feb are really cold so can't do much layup but can educate you.
