Jeff Skiles, Michelle Kunes and I boarded the trusty 1973 AzTruck and flew over to Medford Wisconsin last night for the Marshfield Chapter 992 meeting. Since their members live in between Marshfield and Medford they switch off on location each month for their meeting.

Tyler Stargardt - Former Young Eagle.....now holding a Private Pilot, Instrument and Commercial license at age 19 was the guest speaker. He has accomplished so much on his path to being a career pilot.

Winter snuck up on us...and it was at zero degrees with the windchill. NO worries in the Aztec...the Janitrol heater kicked out the heat...but, on the ground...could not wait to get in the heated "terminal" building at Medford.

Good snacks...beverages and a great presentation by Tyler. Thank you Tyler...you are an inspiration to young folks everywhere wanting to become pilots!! Your enthusiasm is contagious.

here at the Chapter office in Oshkosh, we are looking for Chapters that we can fly out....for a monthly meeting...and fly back to KOSH the same night. So, Michigan, Indiana, Northern Illinois...Minnesota....Iowa... Wisconsin chapters...keep us posted and we will see if we can make a flight over to join you for your meeting.

You flatter us with the word "terminal"! :D

Many thanks to you guys for paying us a visit. If nothing else, we were quite cozy with our fellow chapter mates! And, as you described, Tyler is an outstanding and accomplished young pilot at the ripe old age of 19. We're honored to have him as a chapter member, and he gives back to us in ways that many of our senior members would only dream.

Next time, we'll be sure to have the fuel tanks filled for the hangar heat before your get here!

Thanks again for dropping in. We finally got some good use out of that runway extension!

Best regards,
Chris
