Wonder if anyone knows of any general aviation effort to help out in the New England area in the post-storm relief effort. If so, I'd like to get on the list to help out. thanks.

As is common these days, for a lot of New England the Sandy hype was a lot worse than the actual event. Here in NH there are power outages but the crews are at work. A lot of airplane owners just made sure that their airplanes were tied down well. When I stopped at an FBO last night, the line crew reported that fewer airplane owners than they expected came looking for hangar space.

The majority of the flood damage appears to be NYC and NJ.

Today in southern NH we have 2400' ceiling, 7mph wind from the SE, 2.5 mi vis, light rain. The storm event is pretty much over.

Fly safe,

Not sure what we can do to help, but it appeas LGA (LaGuardia) could use some assistance. :(
