Steve Hinton was flying the FW.

The 109 was flown by Bud Granley.

Thanks. That's good to hear. Bud is a good friend, and also a top pilot. He loves to try new planes. i've flown with Bud often.

Nice pics! Is it an original Fw190 or the new built Flugwerk Fw190? The Bf-109 seems to be a very rare E-version. In Germany we unfortunately have only very few G-models flying. Since my dad has flown both types in combat in WW2 I really like that these planes are kept alive! Great stuff!!!

Thomas - that Fw190 is the real thing, the only original example currently flying with an original engine that I'm aware of:

Hal
thanks, also for the link! It is really great that a real Fw190 is flying again, one out of more than 20000 produced in WW2. All the others have been scrapped in the one or the other way.
Greetings from Germany
