I posted this on the AOPA board, but havent gotten any response from any pilots currently living in the area:

I have recently been informed of a job opportunity in the Terre Haute area, and I am actually considering it as the economy is killing my current business.

I went to school there from 84 - 88, but I know it has changed a lot.

Can anyone fill me in on the local airport scuttlebutt? Hangar availability (prefer heated) & prices either at Hulman Field, Sky King, or Clinton? (Or any other options?)

General atmosphere, any security issues, etc? Also interested in how quickly the snow gets cleared off at the different airports.

Thanks

Mike

Mike , I once lived in Terre Haute and I am now living in Connecticut. I keep in touch with my fellow Hautians. P.M. me and I'll put you in touch with the local airport bums. One thing is for sure it sure isn't like it was. The Air guard is gone and all the airlines and last year the flight school at Hulman closed. I worked for one of the cargo airlines there in the 90's and it is hard for me to see a ghost tomn
