We're 40 days out -- anyone else starting to get excited? We've got our copy of the NOTAM and have our campsite, RV rental, and volunteer schedule all squared away. Now just need to start looking at what demos/forums/social events we want to attend and build a rough itinerary.

I've attended the 4 work weekends so far and the grounds are really taking shape. Exhibitor tents/buildings were being erected and different signage put in place this past weekend. I only hope the new campground and parking lot work the way they are planning.

I really miss the insight provided about 10 years ago. I know there were bigger changes, but they’d have webinars showing the new diagonal roads spreading out from the main gate, show Barn updates, etc, and other grounds changes. Nowadays, I feel I have to search out any changes on my own. I spend 1/2 of every day volunteering, so really want to maximize my personal explorations! Now, any info or webinar just talks about the airshow participants.

Ha! I have my Osh flight plans (I make the trip in 2 legs) stored in my EFB. I just review the NOTAM each year and ensure nothing has changed.

We almost always fly the same path. From Texas to Missouri for fuel, then on into Watertown, WI where we spend the night and enjoy one last good meal before flying into OSH the next morning.

We are planning on overnighting in Watertown again this year ourselves. From Augusta GA we stop in Columbus Indiana for fuel and lunch. Safe flights everyone!

We’ll overnight there on Wednesday for a Thursday arrival prior to the OSH NOTAM. Yeah, it’s a bit early but we really enjoy watching arrivals from our N40 spot.

The only time that Oshkosh won't be getting closer is after it starts. Of course at that time, next year will be "getting closer!"https://eaaforums.org/images/icons/smiley.gif

Weather between here and OSH looks like crap for tomorrow, so we're about to load up and hit the road. Should be in tomorrow morning.

I've been flying into KOSH every year since 2016 and we've spent the night in Watertown every year except one. That year weather was going to be bad the next morning, so we went straight into KOSH. We'll be staying at the Best Western on Thursday night, so we'll plan to stop by and say hello.
